Hockey Equipment

1. Stick

  • Used to handle, pass, and shoot the puck (ice hockey) or ball (field hockey).
  • Made of wood, fiberglass, or composite materials.

2. Skates (Ice Hockey)

  • Special boots with blades for skating on ice, designed for speed and agility.

3. Protective Gear

  • Helmet with face shield or cage to protect the head and face.
  • Shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards to protect from impacts and falls.
  • Gloves to protect hands and improve grip on the stick.
  • Mouthguard to protect teeth.
  • Neck guard (optional but recommended).
  • Jockstrap or pelvic protector for groin protection.

4. Goalie Equipment

  • Larger and more protective gear, including a bigger stick, chest protector, leg pads, blocker, glove, and helmet with cage.

5. Uniform

  • Team jersey, pants, and socks with team colors and numbers.

6. Puck or Ball

  • Ice hockey uses a hard rubber puck.
  • Field hockey uses a small, hard plastic ball.
