How the Wheel of Life Works
The Wheel of Life is typically divided into 8-10 sections, each representing a different area of your life. You rate your satisfaction in each area on a scale (usually 1 to 10), then plot your scores on a circular wheel. The goal is to achieve a balanced, rounded wheel, where all areas are equally nurtured.

Steps to Use the Wheel of Life
-
Draw the Wheel
Draw a large circle and divide it into equal segments (one for each category). -
Rate Each Area
On a scale of 1 to 10, rate your current satisfaction in each area.-
1 = completely dissatisfied
-
10 = fully satisfied
-
-
Plot Your Ratings
For each segment, draw a line from the center of the wheel to the rating number. This forms a visual representation of your life balance. -
Evaluate the Wheel
Examine the "shape" of the wheel. Is it round and balanced? Or are some areas much higher or lower than others? -
Identify Focus Areas
The areas that score lower could be where you want to focus and set goals for improvement.
